Thanks and Recognition :

I have to say from the outset, that without the help and encouragement of other VOPS colleagues and TEAM members this site, and all the resources available through it, would not have been possible.

Without the help of Chris Pyrgas and his wonderful VIDE to encourage me I would not have got so enthusiastic about dotNet and all things Vulcan.  Thanks Chris.  I will try to not send you so many stupid emails in future - and thanks for the patient replies, they did get through to me eventually.

My local support colleague John Parker almost coined the title of 'Kick Start' and he also kept me going when things were harder in the beginning.  The motor bike images are all his fault - however, they are Kawasaki Vulcan models !  Thanks John, your deep experience of matters OOP has been invaluable.

JP and Karen  Chris before the beer ....  Mike in colourful pose  Brian with jet lag ...  Ginny ready to go ...  Chris after the beer ...  Karen in the blue - not JP  Brian at DevFest

Alwyn JB has provided me with endless email conversations on matters to get 'just right' and his educated approach to learning has resulted in some far better quality material being included than would have been the case otherwise - many thanks Alwyn, hope I can reciprocate in some way, or another.

On the dotNet and technical side of things, Paul Piko and Colin Newell have kept me on-line, from afar, and from down the road - so to speak :-)  I feel I owe these guys a great deal for their prompting to get things right and push a bit further into the ways of dotNet and SQL.  These are my "doing it right" guys - many thanks again!

Thanks to Mike Pitcher, Mike Jones and our lady expert Ginny Caughey - for their guidance on SQL.  I did my best to use your good advice and put it into a manageable 'module' for all us beginners.  If nothing else we have a whole bunch of Vulcan code which seems to work well with SQL Server 2008.  Many thanks.

I have left Willie Moore till last, but not for any negative reasons ;-)  He has encouraged me from day one of my OOP experience.  In fact it was from "hour zero" so to speak.  I remember sitting in front of a 'friendly faced' speaker at my first ever DevFest presentation, some years back now - guess what, I learned a lot from Willie that session, and have continued to do so ever since.  Willie has contributed to many aspects of the work available through the ClickStart series, and I hope some of his genuine enthusiasm has shone through.  Thanks a bunch Willie, keep it coming.

Don and Brian - thanks for letting me be of help, and keeping me on the straight and narrow.  What a wonderful, and colourful, product you have in Vulcan.NET - and of all the diverse programming experiences I have had over many years to date, this has been the most fun by far.  However, PROLOG was rather different :O)

Although this last thanks is not to individuals, it has to be said that without the range of quality books and video material, both free download and purchased, I would not have discovered all the interesting things dotNet that I have.  So Marhesh Chand, Chris Sells, Alison Balter, Paul Nielsen ... are but a few who must take great credit.  Thanks.

Willie M two of a team ? Alwyn JB  Mike P - words of wisdom ? PP on song ... Don on a mission !?
